I Want To Believe: My X-Files Story

Since the X-Files mini-series is starting tonight, I wanted to share a bit on why I love the show. I was less than two years old when it started in '93. Back then at that age remembers much but I remember my father watching the show. When they first started having reruns of it I watched a bit of but I still didn't register it very much at the time. My aunt and I started watching it a few years back when we discovered we could check it out from the library.
X-Files was the first science fiction show that I fell in love with though I didn't understand it at the time. When  I watched it again as an adult it made me fall in love with it all over again.
My favorite characters out of the defiantly Mulder and Sculley, because they may have been the opposite but they were still a great team. It is hard to choose between the two of them, so I can't help choose them both.
I'm so excited about x-files to start up again. When I heard that Fox was going to make a mini-series, I wanted to immediately pull out my shirt that is over ten years old. My aunt gave me the shirt when she was going through her closet. It's a white shirt that summarizes the show, now I can't get the stains out of it. Along with my school shirt as well.
I didn't really make an outfit based on the show but I did make a wish list on what I wanted to kind of replace my now crappy shirt.

How excited are you about the new mini-series?

I'm going to be sitting with a bag of popcorn watching it tonight.

  1. Love the central tee! I was in high school when the x-files was out first time round. I didn't have sky (cable) so my friend taped it for me every week and brought it to school. Ah simpler times!

  3. I liked the revival a lot more the second time I watched it. There was so much going on that it was hard to follow at times, but the re-watch helped a lot. I am very excited to see what other things will happen! Next week's episode looks especially exciting because I've always been fond of the stand alone episodes involving monsters in the woods.
